Teeth Grinding Help

Teeth grinding or bruxism is a problem that many people have even without realizing it. I had that problem too but not in a severe form. However even in the mild form it affected negatively my teeth. I personally learned about it when I visited my dentist.

It is not hard to stop teeth grinding if you know how. The problem is that all widely-known products that suppose to help with this problem in reality just perpetuate or deepen it.

What is teeth grinding?

Teeth grinding is clenching or grinding the teeth without being consciously aware of it. Do you have frequent headaches, jaw pain, cracked teeth? It is possible that all of these problems are related and caused by teeth grinding at night.
As it was already mentioned the symptoms of this disorder are headaches, jaw problems that can even lead to a surgery, the wearing off of the teeth, ear pain.
It can cause lots of discomfort if the problem is not rectified. It can also eventually result in more serious problems.

What are some causes of this teeth grinding?

The main cause of teeth grinding is stress. Most of the disorders start with stress and teeth grinding is not an exception.

The widely-known “cures” for this disorder are surgeries, painkillers and mouth guards offered by mainstream medicine only perpetuate the problem not even mentioning that painkillers are addictive and can actually kill you at the end (as we unfortunately witnessed in celebrity death cases).

Surgeries are not a permanent solution to the problem because they do not address the TEETH GRINDING so sooner or later you will need another surgery to correct the newly developed problem.

Mouth guards provide just temporary protection for the teeth and jaw. As time goes by the users of mouth guards apply even more pressure trying to restore the familiar "grinding teeth" mode so eventually the problem is getting worse.

If you already developed complications such as jaw problems, they need to be addressed through a surgery however your main focus should be on the permanent elimination of this problem.

What is the Best Solution?

The best approach is to find natural, non-invasive stress release techniques. They can help with this problem tremendously. Simple steps such as breathing exercises can help improve the quality of sleep, release stress and a variety of stress-related diseases. There are specific breathing exercises designed for teeth grinding that together with other natural techniques can help eliminate this problem for good.
